- Scene 1
- Manfred von Richthofen (aka the Red Baron) was born on May 2nd, 1892. within the German empire. He lived with his mother and father, as well as his sister and two younger brothers.

- Scene 2
- When Richthofen was only age 11, he was sent from regular school in Schweidnitz to begin military training.
- Uh yes sir, I mean sorry sir!
- Richthofen! Fix that ugly stance of yours!
- In 1911, Richthofen completed his cadet training and joined the Uhlan Cavalry unit. This is where he got his prior military training before the war had begun.

- Welcome to the military!
- Scene 4
- Although Richthofen served with his new cavalry unit at the beginning of world war 1, the practices they learned in training had been found as ineffective as the war had opened up for new and better strategies. Leaving his squad to become disbanded. This made Richthofen gain an interest in new German aviation and apply to be moved to the German air service.
- Scene 5
- Despite having success as an observer and being historically credited with shooting down some aircraft, Richthofen had struggles when learning to fly solo, having lower anticipations from higher ups as he had ending up crashing at one point. Despite the slow start Richthofen would soon drastically improve as a pilot.
- Scene 6
- What have I done?
- Richthofen was soon accepted into the German air service and became an observer as training in 1915. During this time he was trained on how to fly solo as well as use the machine guns stationed on his aircraft.
