- The duke and the King actually got away with taking the money and made a run for it.
- The duke and the King figure out how to get even more money. Their plan is to hand Jim in and get the reward, that way each of them will have enough to leave and disappear. As for Huck they will make a stop at an island to get some rest and leave him there. They both agree and shake hands.
- While on the boat to freedom with Huck and Jim, they still argue about the money.
- When they got back to where the boat was hidden, they got into a little disagreement about who deserves the money the most.
-  Later, they stopped in a nearby town and the duke tricked Jim into going with him, only to get the reward for turning him in. 
- That night the three one them, the duke, King and Huck, stopped to get rest and moments later Huck was all by himself on that island.
