- Finally, the time has come for me to become a monk. Monk's enjoy a lifestyle way above my usual life and are given free meals. I've done some research and I am to become a novice at first, but it shall all be worth it in the end. But before I go in, I'll need to post on my story about this.
- Remember, young soul, that you will now be part of this monastery your whole life.
- You must take the Vow of Obedience , Poverty, and Chastity. After, you must have your head shaved so there is just a ring left near your ears.
- Son, are you listening, this is rather important.
- mhm. *mumbles vows and has head shaved*
- Pro's: - good meals and beverages- taken care of when I become ill-monastery is well sanitized
- Con's: - Life of poverty- strict daily routine
- This hair looks worse than I thought. But I can't get sidetracked, I have to think of the pro's and con's of being in this monastery.
- The new monk was escorted to his room and saw his reflection in the window.
- I'm off to care for the ill in the community and this is only one of my many jobs. *thinks about taking an Instagram picture*
- Some of my duties outside the monastery include providing hospitality and education, producing wine, ale, and honey,
- Other duties inside my monastery are too worship, read the Bible, and manual labor. I often do private prayers and meditate.

- My monastery is one of the few that accept oblate's. But by the 13th century, the Church decided that a young boy couldn't be bound to monastic life by his parents.
- Eventually, oblate's weren't allowed to join any monastery because they were thought to disrupt monastic discipline. But, they were still taught the skills to become a monk later on.
