  • SS Underground
  • Life for settlers was most definitely easier than it was for the slaves. Next, they would auction slaves in order to gain wealth. They gained wealth using their slaves by starting businesses and plantations. Also, because people were so ignorant that they could not realize they were doing something wrong.
  • Americas would usually think Africans are not even human. They did not care about any one of them. As they would not give them any food or water most days. Or would shoot them if they did not cooperate. Next, Africans would mostly try and commit suicide, but if they did not survive they would either be killed on the spot or be tortured in front of their friends to teach their friends a lesson.
  • As you already know Africans were treated poorly. But, the Americans were taking advantage of what they already owned. Every day Africans were treated worse and worse. Eventually our savior, Harriett Tubman, came out of the South to rescue us. She had built a railroad that could not be seen so, it was called the underground railroad.
  • Please Help!!!
  • Slaves had to work 12/7 in order to get fed or have water. What was sad was that their rulers would think of them as an object not a human. If a slave would get sick most of the time they would get killed. We have moved on from this logic and thinking, but it it just so sad to know what life was like with a of that racism back then. Slaves were also auctioned off for money depending on their shape.
  • Workers would work in different areas. It depends where their owner wants them. Usually their owners would try and make profit off them, so usually they would work on their owner's plantations. Life was rough working for 12 hours a day. Only if their owners were generous they would get food to eat that day but, if not it would only be water.
  • Slaves were usually born into being a slave if their mom was pregnant while working. So, their was nothing they could do about it. Slaves had to work in the hardest conditions. Even if it was 150F slave owners would still have their slaves work. Or have them fan them.
