- Positive Consequence: Avoid the situation entirely so you don't get in trouble
- Option 2: You could leave Aidan's house and avoid the situation completely
- Negative Consequence: Not being able to spend time with Aidan
- Positive Consequence: You still get to spend time with AIdan
- Option 3: You could stay at Aidan's house and try to convince him not to drink by informing him about alcohol
- Negative Consequence: Aidan doesn't listen to you and Aidan does things he shouldn't
- Internal Influence: Your morals. You'd feel bad about it afterwards because you know it's wrong and you shouldn't do it
- You: I should also take into consideration my internal and external influences
- External Influence: Your friend Aidan. He will try to convince you to try alcohol with him and you don't want to let him down because he is a close friend
- You: The healthiest option in this situation would probably be option 3 because you don't want your friend to drink any alcohol and you would have a better time doing something else. Your looking out for yourself and your friend
- Now that you took into consideration your options, the pros and cons of each option, and influences, what is the healthiest option?
- You: Well I don't think it's a good idea to consume alcohol especially at our age. My health teacher was telling our class that alcohol can interfere with brain development, increase the risk of having alcohol use disorder later in life, and memory problems as well. We should do something else instead like watch a movie or play some games.
- Aidan: Oh wow I didn't even know that. Thanks for telling me and looking out for me. On second thought we should do something else.
- Hahahahahahaha
- You: I believe that I did make the right choice because I was able to prevent my friend from drinking any alcohol and I was also able to spend some time with him.
