- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) attempted to eliminate enrolment of the west Berlin. This evolved the U.S, Canada, Iceland etc.
- Truman Doctrine committed to the United States the policy to stop spreading communism. Truman hope that with this policy the resist the attempting of communist going to other places.
- The Marshall proposed to contain communism by creating an economic plan to help Europe with trades. This act is called the Marshall plan.
- The Berlin Airlift -British and the U.S planes flew human brought supplies into Berlin for heavily a year, during the communist blockade of West Berlin.

- The Cuban Missile Crisis- The U.s found out that the Soviets paced missiles in Cuba. And if they fired they would blame the soviets so they look them back.
