- Hey, Seema! Look at the crops! They look so healthy now! This is great for business, finally I can sell them in the market. This is the biggest produce since the pandemic
- Come, I'll explain
- Yes, Ram! But, what do you mean? Why do you say that this is the biggest produce in the past 2 years? Have you sold nothing during 2020-2022 pandemic?
- Because of the pandemic, supply and mobilization of fruits, vegetables, etc was disrupted and it didn't meet the demand of the people. There were also unseasonal rains, it affected the crops a lot. My land became barren, just like this one. The farmer who owned this land left it because he couldn't get anything from growing it. Additionally, many farmers don't have proper farming facilities or machines which makes the job harder. Thankfully, I had those facilities but not every farmer is as lucky as me.
- That must have been so hard for you and the other farmers, Ram. The pandemic slowed down everything!
- This is my new land! Everything has bounced back and the demand has in fact increased. The pandemic stalled our incomes and it made life very hard for us, but now I don't suffer with these problems. I wasn't able to put food on the table for my family but now we have a better lifestyle and can afford more farming machines and buy more land.
