Trino, the main character witnesses Rosca and his friends beating up Mr. Epifano. Trino hides in a book store there he meets the book lady, Lisana, and Hector.
Climax
Trino's mom lost her job. Trino decide's to steal money from the car wash.
Falling Action
Beto, Trino's Younger brother, is sick and the family can't afford the medicine.
Resolution
Trino gues to the car wash. Rosca gets shot, Zipper dies, and Rogelio is arrested and goes to jail.
Trino blames himself for Zipper death. He feels lonely. Trino decides to make better choices. Trino accepts Nick's job offer.
Trino confides in Lisana and comes clean about everything. Lisana shows that she is a true frind. Trino found a place where he belongs.
