  • Good Morning, everyone! Today we will begin discussing quadratics.
  • We will go through a quick lesson and then you will work independently on some practice.
  • The class goes through an introductory lesson on quadratics. The lesson introduces greatest common factor and multiplication property of zero. The class watches a video on the topic, and then work though example problems as a class.
  • Ok everyone, now you are going to work on some example problems.
  • The students take a few minutes and try their practice problems. A few of the students start to get frustrated because they don't know how to complete the problems on their own. Students make use of the red cup, yellow cup, green cup, classroom management strategy their teacher introduced. Red cups on the desks tell the teacher the students are really struggling. Yellow cups on the desk tell the teacher the students are somewhat struggling, and green cups on the desks represent a full understanding. The teacher circulates the class and offers help.
