- the French and Indian War caused England to be low on money in return this is how the taxes on the colonies began.
- Quartering Act
- the Sugar Act did many things including prohibiting foreign alcohol and molasses to be imported to the colonies, it also enforced higher tax duties upsetting the colonists.
- Boston Tea Party
- The Stamp Act put a tax on every legal document in the colonies this enraged the colonists they felt as if The British had no right to do so.
- The battle of Lexington and Concord
- The Quartering Act basically stated any British military could stay ins the colonist's homes without consent this made the colonists completely resented this.
- The Boston tea Party was a raid at the Boston Harbor in rebellion to taxation without representation where colonists dressed up as Native Americans they dumped huge amounts of Tea into the sea.
- The British went into Lexington and Concord to seize the colonist's weapons instead this would be the first battle and start of the American revolution.
