- The Black Death had killed around 25 million people, and people were getting very scared
- in 1381 there was a new poll tax introduced, this made the peasants really angry, as they were working very hard for little pay
- This was the final straw for the peasants so in June they chose me, Wat Tyler, as their leader. And i led over 60 thousand of them into london
- Peasants burnt down many building and freed prisoners. King Richard and his advisors fled to saftery in the tower of london.
- Richard agreed to meet up with tyler and the peasants and the peasants gave richjard their demands, like being able to freely move around the country. and richard agreen to the demands .
