- the townspeople across the village gather for the yearly lottery at the center of town. Every house hold comes and draws a slip of paper from the box . As this happens, the children seem to gather rocks and pebbles that they then later place into their pockets

- THIS ISN'T FAIR!
- The conflict occurs when Tessie notices that her husband (Bill, RIGHT) is now the center of attention. Bills paper looks like it has something on it, a black dot. Tessie gets concerned and yells ¨This is unfair! Tessie was mad about how Bill didn't get enough time to select the slip that he wanted.

- CONFLICT!
- The hutchinson family that consisted of Bill, Tessie, Little Davy, and Nancy are all called up to the Front. Some slips of paper are reset into the box including the slip that Bill drew earlier. WIth the slips of paper in the box, the Hutchinson family are all made to chose one.
- RISING ACTION
- Denouement
- All the members of the Hutchinsons select a slip of paper at random Everyone's slip of paper appeared to be Blank, except Tessieś. Tessieś paper appeared to have the black dot on it.

- CLIMAX!
- Tessie begins to yell about how unfair the situation is. The villagers begin to gather around Tessie with rocks, boulders, and pebbles and form a circle around Tessie.
- FALLING ACTION
- STOP,THIS ISN´T FAIR AT ALL!
- Tessie Hutchinson tries her best to escape, she screams in agony as a rock hits her head Old Man Warner encourages the villagers upon her. Rocks keep slinging towards her and seconds later Tessie is dead.
