- Nate Turner had visions, interrupted messages from god and became a preacher. Anti slavery using the bible.
- Also sees slavery as anti kingdom of god and has to do something about this, 1821
- Nate Turner Escaping from being slave all the way in the woods, went back because had a grand vision to return and expand religion teaching, Starts to get the name of the Prophet.
- 1831 August 21, Nate tuner rebellion begins, they use knifes, instead of guns to cause less attention, The rebellion goes for Joseph first, their master and his family.
- Nat Turner begins in the next 48 hours go to house to house killing every white person and getting more slaves involved in the rebellion, Killing more than 70 white people
- Nat Turner and his followers (75) gets stopped by local militia (200) and execute all the rebellion even ones who did nothing or did not contribute to the rebellion
- Captured awhile after and went to court and court ruled Nat turner to hanging execution of leading the rebellion and killing over 70 white people
