- Irish Immigrants moved to America seeking religious freedom.
- Contidions on the boat were horrible and some died of sickness. The immigrants were stuck on the island for longer then they were told but eventualy got through.
- Jane Adams created the hull house to help immigrants learn English, get a job, and make friends.
- Immigrants were treated poorly and did not get the same privileges as the Americans.
- As more Immigrants came the cities ran out of places for people more ghettoes arrived.
