It is 2011, and people hate the president of Syria, Assad. Minor protests are breaking out, but the government seems to not care. Small protests turn into significant protests all over the country.
The Syrian Government takes the protests very seriously. The protest turns into armed conflicts, and on March 15th, 2011, the Syrian Civil War officially starts. The country is split into pieces.
The Kurds take most of the land that is bordering Turkey. The Kurds also lead a rebel party called, Kurdistan Workers' Party. They kill a lot of innocent people and have cost Turkey's economy about $400 billion. This allow the Kurds to enter Turkey.
Turkey's military personnel enter Syria and establish a safe zone that covers 115 km of the border to keep the country safe and find a place for the Syrian refugees to stay.
They establish a safe zone, and thousands of families were and still are forced to be move. The safe zone is to relieve Turkey's refugee problem and to keep the terrorists out of Turkey.
About three hundred thousand Syrian refugees have moved to the safe zone with their consent so far, about six hundred thousand more are estimated to move. This might be horrifing for the refugees to return to a warzone to live.
