History and Colonization
Australia was was first colonized in January of 1788 by British explorers, it was then in 1901 that Australia officially became a country under British rule.
The majority of Australia's inland geography consists of a vast desert land known as the Outback, whereas the coastal areas have a more tropical climate.
Physical Features and Climate
Australia is home the largest ecosystem in the world, that being the Great Barrier Reef. It also has plenty of unique animals that can only be found in that continent, such as Kangaroos, Wombats, and Dingos.
Features Unique to Australia
The majority of Australian culture comes from its roots, that being the Torres Strait Islanders and the Aboriginal People. However, there is a mix of western culture in there too, mostly spawning from British rule.

The Aboriginal people were the first inhabitants of Australia, and are still around to this day. They have lived and developed across Australia for over 50,000 years.
