Storyboard Text

  • It was a spring season morning, birds chirping, flowers growing from the trees, It was a very beautiful sight too see. 
  • The stamen is the male part of a flower, while carpel is the female part of a flower. For sexual reproduction to take place a male gamete is to be fused with he female gamete then it has formed a zygote. for that the male gamete has to reach the female gamete.
  • Two flower have met, A male flower and a female flower. The two flowers met in a morning spring season. They talked and talked for hours. They got to know each other and became friends. The two flowers got closer and closer and they have decided to get married. And this is where the life of a young flower started.
  • Once a pollen grain reaches the stigma  of a flower a tube grows from the pollen grain the tube reaches the the ovary of the plant. The male gamete of a pollen travels in one of the tubes and reaches the female gamete that is in the ovule. Then the male and female gamete fuses together to form a zygote. This is called fertilization. The zygote divides several times to form an embryo. The ovule develops a coat and changes to a seed. And that is how plants are reproduced.
  • carrying the male gamete is transferred from the stamen of a flower to the stigma of the other flower and that is called pollination, while when a pollen grain lands on the stigma of the same flower that is called self pollination. then when the pollen grain lands on a stigma of another flower that is cross pollination.
