Pythagorean Theorem: Week 2
Missing Leg

- We know most of the side lengths for each island, but our measurologists always seem to miss one!
- Today we're going to find the missing side length of my home island "Cypria"
- Welcome to Shape Land where all the islands are perfectly formed geometric shapes
- Cypria is a right triangle. The hypotenuse is 15 miles long and the 1st leg is 12 miles long. Can you find out how long the other leg is?
- a^2 + b^2 = c^212^2 + b^2 = 15^2144 + b^2 = 225-144 -144b^2 = 81b = 9
- Yay! You did it! The missing leg is 9 miles long!
