  • Mr. Jones is abusing, yelling and not feeding the animals. The animals have had enough of this. Later on Old Major gives them a speech about how he will die soon and the rest of the animals can't live like this anymore. The animals listen and start to rebel.
  • Chapter four
  • Mr. Jones lost money in a lawsuit causing him to drink. He then forget to feed the animals. The cows broke into the store shed and ate food. Mr Jones and his men caught this and brought out their whips and began to whip the cows. The cows fought back. Then the rest of the animals started to attack. The animals chased them away from the farm. After the rebellion they burned all of the whips and anything else that could hurt the animals. They began to sing beasts of England until bedtime.
  • Chapter five
  • Jessie and Bluebell have puppies, Napoleon takes these puppies to raise himself. Napoleon says that training of the young should take priority over adult education. Napoleon raises the puppies in a loft above the harness room, where the rest of animal farm cannot see.
  • Chapter six
  • A flight of pigeons alerts the animal farm about Mr. Jones and his men beginning to march on the farm. Boxer and snowball fight courageously and the humans suffer a quick defeat. Some of the sheep had died, which the rest of the animals give a hero's burial.
  • Snowball and Napoleon have a meeting to decide on the windmill, and when the rest of the animals are about to vote, Napoleon gives a whimper and 9 enormous dogs wearing a brass-studded collar charges snowball attacking him and causing him to run off the farm . They return to Napoleon and he says that meetings will now be held for ceremonial purposes only and important decisions will be chosen among the pigs.
  • It says No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets
  • The pigs start changing the rules and start sleeping on beds in the farm house. Squealer tells Clover he just forgot the last two words. Squealer says All animals sleep in beds, a pile of straw is a bed after all. Sheets however, as a human invention, constitute the true source of evil. He then tells the rest of the animals that pigs need a comfortable place to sleep in order to run a good farm.
