- What?!? No I promise I'm innocent don't take me to jail.
- Betts v. Brady already was put in place to provide people with an attorney if they need it, you sir can defend yourself. This judge knows the law better than anyone, I'm sure he'll make the just and correct ruling today.
- This trial is unjust, I am a low income, low educated man that had to defend myself with minimal legal experience. I demand I am provided an attorney and that I am given a fair trial. Everybody knows this is unfair, the people want Betts v Brady overturned. It is my right as a U.S citizen to a free and fair trial under the 6th amendment, so this trial is unconstitutional.
- In the case of Clarence Earl Gideon, I find the defendant guilty of breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor.
- Any Court case is a special circumstance, everyone should be provided a lawyer!
- Both victim and defendant spend so much money on lawyers so for one party to have one and the other not, is fundamentally unfair and unjust because they've proved their importance with how much they cost.
- So we all agree then this decision is unanimous, we will abolish Betts v Brady and require that states provide lawyers if need be. This decision's impact will be major because now everyone has the right to a fair trial so there will be many more cases that are resolved correctly.
