A Day In the Life of Plebeians
This storyboard does not have a description.
Hi there! My name is Jonah and I am 15 years old. I am an only child in the family. And this is a day in the life of a Plebians.
The woman in the green dress is my mother and the man standing next to her is my father. We, the Plebeians are the lowest class and it includes everyone who is not a Patrician.
My father is a craftsman – he worked hard to support our family and pay the taxes. The Roman women like my mother are not allowed to leave the house without the husband's permission. Even though my mother can't work outside of the house, she has a slave working for her.
Being a Plebeian teenage in Roman wasn't easy. We don't attend public school because we didn't have enough money to pay the fee so our education took place at home and my dad is my only mentor.
Our meals were very different from the Patrician. We ate simple foods because of the amount of money that we had.
We weren't allowed to go to certain temples and festivals. But the Plebeians mostly attend a religious festival such as Feralia. Feralia was all about remembering our dead ancestor. People would bring offerings to their loved one's tomb.
