- Dilemma: Maria's friend Pam has been saying that she is fat. She has been noticing that she is getting very unhealthy skinny.
- Well, I know that I am fat and I need to loose weight
- Pam, I am worried about you. I see that you have been losing weight too much lately
- Maria just noticed that Pam is taking diet pills. they are making her loose more weight. Pam could get seriously hurt from these.
- Pam, I just saw what you did in there. You took more diet pills. Those are harmful.
- Maria, please stop bothering me. They are good for you and I need to loose weight. I will not stop because I am fat.
- Solution: Maria has had enough. She decided to go to a teacher and report that Pam is hurting herself. She really cares about how healthy her friend is.
- Mr. Mason, Pam has been saying that she is fat and is taking dangerous diet pills during the school day and around town. I am worried for her
- Maria, what I can do is let the principle know. We also will let guidance know. We will get this concern handled.
- Pam got called to the guidance office. She is in tears because she knows that they are unhealthy but she just cant stop. The guidance counselor is helping her get rid of them.
- Pam, I have heard that you are not doing well. You are taking diet pills. they are dangerous for kids your age.
- I cant help it. I know that. I take them because kids say that I am fat and they make me feel better knowing that i'm loosing weight.
- Pam's dad talked with her about this behavior. She knows what she is doing is wrong and harmful to herself and her family. Pam's dad is going to talk to her about this ..
- Okay. Your right but I need to see someone. The one person ho got me help. I agree this is not good now that I see what this has done to me.
- Pam, I thought that this stopped. Pam this is really bad for you and you are stopping now.
- Your welcome Pam. I was so worried about you and I just couldn't let you be like this anymore. It was horrible. I'm so glad your not mad at me.
- Pam is thankful to her friend for helping her stop taking pills. Maria was afraid she would be mad. But in the end Pam is happy for her getting her hep.
- Thank you for caring. I am off the pills now if it was not for you.
