- This was when the estates met up about King Louis XIV to discuss his solutions to France’s financial issues until the third estate created a National Assembly that caused the French Revolution on May 5, 1789 in Versailles.
- Declaration of Rights
- A meeting of action was called by the king. The voting system was flawed because the Third Estate had only one vote as a whole that easily outnumbered the Third Estate. The Third Estate (National Assembly) proclaimed the start of a constitution. The doors locked, they swore they would not leave until they had equality.
- The Reign of Terror
- Enlightenment ideas were a key part of the revolution, as to why the revolution was fought. Ideas such as a new formed hierarchy. The Declaration of the Rights of Man. In this stated ideas from enlightenment philosophies.
- Napoleon Takes Over
- The Declaration of Right of Man and of Citizen was passed on August 26, 1789, which granted civil rights to some of the common people in France.
- Declaration Des Droits De L'Homme Et Du Citoyen
- The Reign of Terror was the time between September 5, 1793 and July 27, 1794 when thousands of French people were executed and hung.
- Napoleon Bonaparte was appointed as the general brigadier after joining the French army and winning against the British in 1799.
