Hannibal and his army march across the Rhone River while Roman armies go on the far side of the river to try to stop Hannibal's crossing.
Unknown to them, Hannibal sent one of his officers, Hanno and a few of the soldiers, to sneak past the Legionaries of the Roman army and the gols.
When Hannibal and his troops crossed the river, the Roman army gathers up to stop them but then get assaulted from the rear from Hanno.
Hannibal and his army continue their journey to Italy by going through the Alps which is the most dangerous and possibly impossible to cross.
The cost is that the soldiers would freeze to death or get hit by chunks of ice falling onto their heads or slipping off of the slippery ice.
Despite the harsh and brutal journey through the Alps, Hannibal's army finally crossed the hardest part to cross, however he lost 72 000 soldiers.
