- We disagree!
- Imperialism started in India when the British took control over India. The Mughal Empire was very weak which lead to a power vacuum and the British East India began to rule the country.
- Imperialism had many effects on the Indian people. One positive effect was that the British encouraged education but, it only served elite and upper class indians. Colonial Rule had many positve and negative aspects to it.
- Gandhi helped and changed imperialism in India by encouraging Indians to practice nonviolent opposition to authority. This was a big change to imperialism.
