Storyboard Text

  • In my episode, the theme I am focusing on is this: Help anyone who needs it.
  • One quotation from Holes that supports the theme here is the following: “(Stanley doubted this would work. It was one thing for him to lift Zero, who was half his weight. It was quite another for Zero to try to pull him up. Stanley grabbed hold of the shovel as he climbed up the rock wall, using the sides of the rut to help support him. His hands moved one over the other, up the shaft of the shovel page 73)” (Sachar p. #).
  • This shows the theme because when Zero was knocked out Stanley dropped everything and he lifted zero up the mountain until he was tired or when he finds water.
  • Another quotation from Holes that supports the theme here is the following: “(graved design. Maybe nobody would notice it. He doubted X-Ray could see it. "No, it's too long and thin to be a shotgun shell," said Magnet. "It's prob'ly just a piece of junk," said Stanley. "Well, I'll show it to Mom," said X-Ray. "See what he thinks. Who knows? Maybe I'll get the day off." "Your hole's almost finished," said Stanley. "Yeah, so?" Stanley raised and lowered his shoulder. "So, why don't you wait until tomorrow to show it to Mom?" he suggested. "You can pretend you found it first thing in the morning. Then you can get the whole day off, instead of just an hour or so this afternoon." X-Ray smiled. "Good thinking, Caveman." He dropped the tube into his large pocket on the right leg of his dirty orange pants. page 28)” (Sachar p. #).
  • These details show the theme that (Help anyone who needs it) because in this quote, ("I told her I stole the seeds," said Stanley page 42) This shows the theme because Stanley took the blame instead of blaming it on Magnet he took the blame.
  • Then they went to jail
