- Othello and Desdemona are married and Cassio is Othello's lieutenant. Iago is jealous of Cassio, because he got chosen as a lieutenant and in order to get Othello's lieutenant and ruin his life, his plan is to make it look like Desdemona and Cassio have an affair.

- Iago starts with his plan: He makes Cassio drunk to manipulate him as a part of his plan.
- Emilia, Iago's wife, is giving him Desdemonas hankerchief without knowing that she just helped his plan to succeed.
- Othello believed that Desdemona slept with Cassio, because her hankerchief was found in her room and is smothering her so she can't betray more men.
- Emilia revealed that Iago is the mastermind of the manipulation and Iago tries to stab her. Because Othello was so depressed about killing his wife without a purpose, he killed himself.
- Iago's plan just failed and he is brought to prison. He is depressed and angry.
