- Alicia Appleman- Jurman is born May 9th, 1930 in Poland and lived in Buchach, Ukraine.
- Hitler invaded Ukraine in 1941 making the life of Alicia change dramatically. All men from from ages 18 to 50 had to register and they never returned. One of these men was her father.
- All men from ages 18 to 50 must register.
- Alicia Appleman and her friends were forced by two SS men to board a train.
- While on this train, Alicia survived by being thrown through a window.
- Zachary, Alicia's brother was murdered and found hanging from a tree because he openly resisted the efforts of the Nazi regime
- Kill him!
