'Yes' 'You are prepared to cheat, to forge, to blackmail, to corrupt the minds of children, to distribute habit-forming drugs, to encourage prostitution, to disseminate venereal diseases- to do anything which is likely to cause demoralization and weaken the power of the Party?' 'Yes.' 'If, for example, it would somehow serve our interests to throw sulfuric acid in a child's face- are you prepared to do that?' 'Yes.'" "And if all others accepted the lie which the party imposed-if all records told the same tale-then the lie casts into history and became truth." (34) Winston had knowledge about the truth, hes being manipulated by the party which shows double think
"Winston had been married--- consorting with prostitutes was forbidden---you could occasionally nerve yourself to break" (64) Winston's character can show one of an antihero considering the fact he chooses to be unfaithful towards his wife with a prostitute even though your not allowed to do that.
