Admiral Buchanan, we have heard rumors that the Union might attack. What's your strategy?
Ready the troops. The torpedoes will sure slow the Yankees down, but be ready for anything.
TO THE BOATS!
Keep going! If we win, we will cut off much of the Confederate supplies and gain the upper hand!
But Admiral Farragut, our lives are at stake, the Tecumseh just sank! The torpedoes!
Mobile Bay was one of the two only operational ports in the Confederacy. It had three forts, Fort Gaines, Fort Powell, and Fort Morgan, the most powerful fort there. The bay was guarded by 67 torpedoes, which are underwater explosive mines.

FORGET THE TORPEDOES, FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!
Franklin Buchanan was the Admiral of the Confederate Navy, and was stationed in Mobile Bay, Alabama.
