How boring, I don't understand why we have to go to museums, it's a waste of time
Looks like the one from Jurassic Park
Looks like grandma
Let's see if this movie about Egyptian things makes me fall asleep for a while and so I don't have to see anything in the museum
Hello, my name is Anubis.
But today i will introduce you how beautiful is egyptian culture
I'm sure you're thinking, "oh damn, how boring this movie hour is going to be"
Egyptian culture exists for more than 6000 years BC. C. conforms from the way of life, customs and traditions existing in the Egyptian society of Antiquity.
Since the human being established different civilizations, there have been many social classes
The top two levels, the pharaoh and government officials, were the most powerful and wealthy.
The bottom tier, the peasants, were the largest social class and were the laborers who were the farmers and construction workers.
Something very marked in the social classes is in death, the funerary art.
Egyptian funerary art is, without a doubt, one of the most impressive in existence.
It is based on the idea that life continues after death. The mummies, the decorated sarcophagi, the pyramids and the mastabas or tombs must be named.
In which the pharaohs were buried to facilitate their journey to the sky in the form of stars and to allow their essence to last forever in the form of these stars monumental buildings.
What many people do not know is that the pyramids were funerary monuments, that is, tombs.
It took us a lot of work to make people believe that the aliens did it.
Egyptian burials were made by introducing the deceased into huge polished stone coffins covered with hieroglyphs that recounted the life of the occupant, or in cases made of wood painted in the shape of a human being.
this is because funerary art has an important weight in Egyptian culture
this is amazing, i thought funerary art was mostly decorative!
SHHHHHH!!!!
Outside of the funeral, we also have sculptures to worship gods
Here we have the imposing sphinx of giza
This was created as it symbolizes the idea of strength and power, and the pharaoh was generally represented in this form.
Although many were lost over time, they had a deep meaning for our culture.
Did you know that there is a very common animal that we consider as gods?
In our culture we find meaning in many things, and our sculptures speak of it.
That's right, cats!
meaow
The Egyptians revered them, as they were associated with protection, and considered them to be an incarnation of the goddess Bastet, who represented love, fertility, beauty and protection.
Here I am in a place where we keep our paintings, since the fabric where they are made is very fragile, and we have to keep it well
Our art is based on religion and our ideas about the afterlife, on the divine and sacred character of Pharaoh, as well as on the influence of agrarian life.
It is characterized by the colossalism and monumentalism of its architecture, by the hieraticism and frontality of its sculptures and by the preponderance of the linear element in its painting.
That is the tour of my beautiful Egypt, I hope you liked this brief explanation and hopefully
see you soon!
hey, no, i was having a great time
The truth is that I really wanted to continue learning more about Egyptian culture, I think I will have to come again
Sorry teacher, I ran out of time watching this movie
Sebas, it´s time to go !
I love it!
Well, what did you think of the visit to the museum?
But discovering everything that Egyptian culture has left me amazed. I think that it was not only other people with a different culture, but also that they had a great influence on the current civilization, and I am amazed at how everything they did was for a reason.
