Storyboard Text
- Two-Bit! What happened to you?!
- WHAT IS JOHNNY THINKING?!
- Oh gosh, we can't turn ourselves in. We'll be done for.
- Two-Bit gets jumped by Socs and Dally, Darry Steve, and Soda come to help. Then Cherry Valance pulls up in her Sting-Ray.
- This is all our fault. Those cigarettes must've started it.
- What happened to the church?!
- I'm going in Pony. We need to save those kids!
- Johnny gets the idea to turn themselves in to the fuzz, hoping that he could get let off easy. This makes Dally and Pony freak out because they know that Greasers get it the worst. Dally finds this idea quite unfathomable, and crazy.
- Hurry Johnny, before this thing collapses on all of us!
- Mad and unhappy, Dally starts driving himself and the boys to the town. He fears that Johnny would be killed because he was convicted of murder, and he's a Greaser.
- Ponyboy! I'm so glad to see you again! Me and Darry were worried sick.
- Me too Soda!
- Darry, I'm so sorry for not thinking you care about me.
- Ponyboy looks outside and notices the burning church and insists to Dally that he gets out and tries to find out what happened. They are shocked about this, and Ponyboy thinks that its their fault from one of the cigarettes. The church burned as fast as a running man.
- Ponyboy and Johnny gallantly went inside the windows to rescue the kids inside. They get the urge to because they know they started it. How else would innocent kids start the fire?
- Ponyboy is driven by an ambulance to the hospital. Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry finally meet again in a while at the hospital. Darry starts crying and Pony finally realizes how much Darry loves him.
