- We are missionaries and want to tell you about Christianity.
- We are here to sign a treaty with you.
- We want to help you.
- We have traveled from near and far to be here. Not all my men are here though.
- Summer, 1851 Alexander Ramsey, Henry Sibley and Stephen Riggs arrive at Traverse des Sioux. They were meeting with the Dakota to sign a treaty.
- We need this land if we plan to grow as a nation!
- NO! This is OUR land and we are with the British anyways!
- Now we have no land the US took it from us
- Where do we go from here?
- We ask of you to move west of the Mississippi River since you won't be civilized here.
