  • Daedalus is trapped in a tower on an island with his son for making the labyrinth beatable." When Theseus escaped from the labyrinth, King Minos flew into a rage with its builder, Daedalus, and ordered him to be shut up in a tower facing the lonely sea." Lines 1-3.
  • Falling Action
  • Icarus is collecting feathers for the flight that they are going to make to try and get to freedom. "He called his son, Icarus, to him and told the boy to collect all of the feathers he could."lines 13 and 14.
  • Resolution
  • Daedalus and Icarus begin to fly above the ocean."As they flew across the land to test their prowess before the dark wild sea, plowmen gazed in wonder, thinking Daedalus and Icarus were gods. Lines 56-59

  • Minos may control the sea, but he does not control the sky.
