- The whale population is a fraction of what it was. As she said there were places were there was so many you could walk on them and not fall in the water.
- In the 1970s the save the whales movement began. Without this movement all whales might have been extinct right now
- SAVE THE WHALES!
- Dead whales are crucial to the ecosystem. They provide as a food source to around 400 other species in the ocean.
- Whale poop is also important to the ocean because their poop stimulates growth of phytoplankton on the oceans surface.
- The 70s movement led to the ban of whaling in the 80s. But theres more we can do. Like not allowing ships to go through whale breeding grounds.
- It't time to make another movement to keep these ocean engineers going. Its not just for their benefit but ours as well.
