- Today is August 4, 2026, in the city of Allendale, California. Today is Mr. Featherstone's birthday. Today is the anniversary of Tilita's marriage. Insurance is payable, as are the water, gas, and light bills.

- I infer that this story takes place during the future due to the fact that the voice in the ceiling of the kitchen says it is 2026 and there is a lot of futuristic technology. I also infer that the family that lives there has two kids and the parents. I can infer this because there is two glasses of milk for the children and two cups of coffee for the parents.
- 10:00 am
- I infer that the family left the house because the garage door opens as in waiting for someone, but no one ever comes and the garage door closes again. I also infer that the family is never coming back because the family never ate breakfast.

- I infer the family that lived in the house was either very busy or very tidy. I made this inference because the family had tiny cleaning mice to keep the house clean. Also I infer the family was very organized because the family had events for each hour like nine o'clock am is cleaning time.
- 2:00 pm
- I infer that the city was bombed because the city gave off a radioactive glow. I also infer that the family is dead because the spots of paint where the family probably landed on where the bomb went off leaving that part of the house color.
- I infer that the dog survived by running away which isn't very logical. I infer that maybe instead the dog wasn't there during the bombing and returned home to find their owners not here.

- I infer that the dog died from starvation and radiation poisoning because the text explained that the dog's eyes turned to fire. I also infer that the high fire levels will cause problems.
