  • More and More Acts Piled onto the colonists.....
  • Townshead acts repealed!
  • This is great news! I was so tired of dealing with all those extra taxes!
  • They're still keeping the tea tax though, I don't really understand why......
  • Did you hear? Those British Governers finally repealed the townshead acts!
  • A path lays ahead...
  • Despite the major protests from the colonists, the British still wanted to remind the colonits that they were British subjects, preventing them from making assemblies, and adding more British Soldiers in Boston, which they then added onto with the Quartering Act, which meant colonists had to help feed and shelter British soldiers.
  • After much colonist pressure however, the British Parlimeant began to reconsider, and with the final nail in the coffin of Townshead's death, the acts were repealed, all for one, the Tea Act, which British officials desperately wanted to keep just to show the colonists that the British Government was still their owner.
  • Despite the colonists getting most of what they wanted, being the repealing of the heavy amount of taxes from the Townshead act, there are still a few problems that remain, things like the tea act and the fact that British Officials now begin to search ships and are allowed to search more people, as tea smuggling becomes more common with the tax, and boycotts continue. However, even with public anger rising, it is still not as much as it soon will be...
