- When I was born, the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck and I was purple also I wasn't breathing but I survived. My mother named me Jarrett, and my grandma loved him.

- When I was a little boy my mom took me to the store my mom distracted me and stole a scarf. On the way home, she got arrested grandma and grandpa had come and bailed her out. Then my mom grabbed me and walked out of the police station without saying thank you. Also, over the years she became abusive.
- The author wrote this about his life
- My mom got arrested for being addicted to drugs. Also, I drew her trying to get out by digging at the wall.
- In this scene, I drew the boy upset by his mom and how she went to jail. He wanted his mother but the Grandparents would not bail her out so the grandparents let him open a toy to play with it. Although he was able to play he was still sad.
- The day I graduated my family was there except for my mother I didn't care because she wasn't in my life in the beginning.
