- Mother, I am the son of a king and yet we are in such a poor condition. I should be a prince, a king mother!
- Do not worry my son. Be brave and show the king you are worthy.
- If the king Bindusara does not care about you and wants to make a weak prince the king instead of you, who has won many battles then go, my son Ashoka. Seize the throne from those partial maniacs. My blessings are with you.
- I shall leave for Magadha today itself mother!
- I am sorry father and brothers but I have worked for this kingdom far more than you have. For your cruelty to my mother and me, I shall kill you.

- The evil king and bad princes are killed. My era has started. I am Ashoka the great. We will conquer all of the Indian subcontinent to increase Magadha's prosperity! Victory is always ours!

- This is Kalinga fort. It is smaller than our army and it is important for us to conquer it due to it's wealth, trade routes, ports and geographical location.
- Shame on you, Ashoka! You have killed so many people, women and children. Corpses are stinking and spreading diseases. You have destroyed Kalinga. We all have to relocate. You are ruthless!!!!
- I, Ashoka am filled with remorse over the Kalinga war. I shall renounce wars and become a peaceful and ideal king.
- These shanti stupas and edicts will spread the Dhammas based on the principle of Buddhism. I am finally at peace.
- Thank you king Ashoka. You shall always be known for your contribution in the history of the Mauryan Empire and in the welfare of people. Buddhism shall reach places far way and everyone shall respect you!
