- Father told daughter a myth - ''It was at the dead of night every day when the kelpie would awaken. Come out of the water and hunt down children. Would go to houses and snatch them from their beds.''Daughter said ''i'm not scared of a kelpie.''
- The daughter was told not to go in the water while the moon was out, but she didnt listen so she laughed and said, ''every night for a week, i will go to the sea and see if the kelpie is there.'' to prove her dad was wrong. mean while the kelpie would listen and watch what she did.
- So every night for a week she went down to the ocean and shouted in front of her farther, ''kelpie! kelpie! come eat me'' but he never did so she was happy.
- So on the sunday night, last night of the week, her and her farther went down to the sea. she shouted to the kelpie once more, but this time the kelpie came up and snathed her from her bed, screaming and kicking he dragged her away into the sea and drowned her.
- The farther never saw his daughter again. All he new was that she should have listened to him.
- The myth of the kelpie still lives on, so if you ever see a ghastly pair of eyes looking at you, don't aproach it and remember this story of the girl.
