- Where is Modercai? He should be here by now
- There he is!
- Is he ok? He looks quite scared
- WHAT! How do you know?
- The Jewish Fighting Organization are alerting people as we speak!
- The Nazi's are on their way!
- Our story begins in April of 1942 with Jan and his friend Rigby looking for his brother after he left to smuggle food.
- Get comfy, we're probably gonna be here for a while
- Jan sees his brother Mordecai and calls him over, completely unbeknownst to the danger looming over them.
- A few days later...
- We haven't eaten in days! I need food
- What about the Nazi's! What happens if we get caught!
- Mordecai returns distraught as he was alerted by the JFO that the Nazis are beginning their final round of deportations. He rushes to tell his brother. The brothers and their friends part ways as they begin looking for a safe place to stay.
- I can't wait any longer! I'm leaving whether or not you come with me!
- I won't let you, its way too dangerous! I'm going by myself!
- The brothers seek refuge in an abandoned bunker and prepare to spend their next few days inside until tensions ease.
- The brothers grow hungry as they haven't eaten since entering the bunker and don't want to take the risk of leaving. Multiple days have passed since the brothers entered the bunker and they are hoping that the Nazi presence has diminished.
- Arguments begin to rise over whether or not one of the brothers should try to go get food. Jan comes to the conclusion that it's too dangerous to let his brother come with him, so he heads out alone.
