Storyboard Text

  • Hey Layla! Have you heard about the Boston Tea Party?
  • It's a longgg story, but let me tell you about it.
  • No I have not Jake! What even is that?
  • Funny enough, the Boston Tea Party wasn't actually a party. It was an event that led to the American Revolution.
  •
  •
  • The Boston Tea Party was a type of protest that happened in Boston Massachusetts in the year of 1773. A group of American colonists called the "Sons of Liberty," dressed up as Indians and got on 3 different ships with crates full of tea on them. When they got on the ships they destroyed all the tea, and dumped it into the Boston Harbor.
  • American colonists were upset with the British government. The British government was adding taxes to tea, due to the Tea Act. The Tea Act was added to raise extra money for the British Government.
  • Now why did they do that?
  • The American Colonists were so upset with the British because they didn't even agree to the Tea Act. It was super unfair, so the colonists decided to do something about it.
  • Victory!!!
  • Anytime Layla! I hope you learned something new!
  • Wow Jake that was super interesting. Thanks for sharing that with me.
