Prospero's Story
Storyboard Text
- Prospero, Duke of Milan, loves education and spends his time deep in books. He starts to feel overwhelmed and looks for help so he can keep track of his studies and duties as duke.
- Prospero recruits his brother Antonio to help him stay organized. Prospero starts focusing more on his studies and handing his duties as duke to Antonio.
- Antonio feels as though he is doing all of Prosperos work for him. He wants to take the role of duke for himself because he believes he deserves it.
- Antonio reaches out to the King of Naples for backing to steal the title of Duke from Prospero. Alonso happily agrees and their plan is to send Prospero away in hopes that he will disapear forever.
- Antonio and Alonso send Prospero and young Miranda on a small unreliable boat to get lost at sea. Antonio and Alonso expect to never see them again.
- 12 Years Later
- Prospero and Miranda land on a desert island and spend the next 12 years there. Prospero spends this time plotting for revenge against the traitors.
