  • The Zigzag road to rights shows how people fighting for their freedom have always struggled becuase they always take 'one step forward and two steps back'.

  • Fredrick Douglass spoke about the slaves point of view of the Fourth of July, saying that the Fourth of July is the whites day to celebrate being free, which is not shared by the slaves becuase they are not free. "You may rejoice; I must mourn" (Fredrick Douglass).
  • The Social Dilemma
  • In Lincolns Second Inagural Address he talks about how the country is split because of Civil Rights and how they were interested in their freedom rights was the cause to the war.
  • Brown v. Board of Education was the browns fight for an equal education compared to whites. Browns were taken from good opportunites and succeeding in life becuause of their 'bad' education circumstances.
