  • You are right sir! Can't have my youngins growing up and not being prepared.
  • Our children need to be tested at school to make sure they are ready for life and work.
  • It has been decided that we now have to give all students a standardized test.
  • Testing began has early as the mid-1800s in the United States.
  • You'll be okay. Take deep breaths and think positive thoughts.

  • Children of all ages would go to school. Some places would have one room school houses. In these schoolhouses there would be all ages. There was no separation based on grade level or age. The older children would help teach the younger kids.
  • SAT Day
  • In 2002, the No Child Left Behind Act mandated that all 50 states are required to have standardized testing. In some states, like Florida, standardized testing starts in the third grade and continues on until twelfth grade.
  • Will standardized testing continue?
  • Testing makes many children and teens anxious and stressed. Some kids don't sleep well the night before nor eat before testing because they are so nervous. To add to the stress, some tests you must pass in order to graduate high school.
  • I'm so nervous! I could barely sleep last night and my stomach hurts because I'm so scared.
  • Nationwide tests like the SAT and ACT are given to students as an entrance exam for most colleges. Many students think these tests decide their futures. Others believe the tests are not good identifiers of if someone is ready for college. There are many different things that should be considered if a person is ready for such a big step and change in their life.
  • Many have questioned the effectivity and benefit behind standardized testing. As of 2021, the Governor of Florida, Ron Desantis , had proposed ending Florida State Assessment(FSA) and adding in smaller more frequent tests to monitor learning.
