  • Thank you. I am Fidel Castro a revolutionary leader in Cuba.
  • May 1960, Nikita Krushchev takes steps to install ballistic missiles in Cuba
  • Here have some missiles since you are a communist. I am Nikita Krusheva.
  • October 22, 1962
  • We are putting Cuba under naval quarantine to prevent soviet shipments
  • President J.F.K puts Cuba under quarantine to prevent Soviet missile shipments.
  • In the following days
  • Soviet ships altered course away from Cuba to keep from being seized. 
  • We are passing secret messages to try and avoid nuclear war.
  • After these discussions we will remove weapons from Cuba to prevent nuclear war.
  • October 28th
  • To prevent Mutually Assured Destruction, the U.S. secretly made a promise to take nuclear weapons out of turkey. After they had been put in a few years before.
  • I unofficially promised to take missiles out of turkey in order to maintain peace, and prevent MAD.
  • We also promised not to take control of Cuba in the future.
  • Cuba was infuriated that the Soviet union gave in but couldn't do anything. This defeat was a factor in Krushchev's fall from power in 1964.
  • I am infuriated that the Soviet Union for giving in to the U.S. ultimatum. However I am powerless to act.
