- I have nothing to wear! I don't have any fancy clothes. Everyone will think I'm poor and ugly.
- I got you an invitation to a very fancy party, it was so hard to get I hope you like it.
- Rising Action
- Hi, can I borrow a necklace for a party tomorrow??
- Yes of course! Pick whichever one you want.
- A woman who dreams to be rich is married to a clerk and is unhappy with herself and believes she is poor. She is very upset being with her husband because he is poor. She felt as though she was too good for him.
- Climax
- I cant find my necklace!!
- You look amazing!
- I will help you find it!
- Mathilde's husband worked very hard to get a invitation to a fancy ball for her, to make her happy but she just complained to him that she had nothing to wear. She didn't want to look poor at the party so she demanded her husband buy her a very expense dress.
- Falling Action
- We Finally payed it off! YOu should tell your friend what actually happened.
- Were so poor now. I will if I have to.
- After Mathilde gets the dress she realizes she still needs a necklace. Her husband suggests she asks her rich friend for a necklace. Her rich friend lends her a very expensive and fancy necklace to wear to the party and she loves it.
- Resolution
- That necklace was cheap, it was fake!!
- i had to get a new necklace for you and I spent all my money on it so now i'm poor!
- Mathilde goes to the party with all of the beautiful jewelry and the dress and is complimented a lot. She is finally happy and stays there for hours. When she goes to leave she realizes the lost the necklace.
- Mathilde and her husband are searching for the necklace and cannot find it anywhere. They realize they have to work to pay off the debt from buying the new necklace so they work for 10 years to pay it off, they are old and poor after they pay off the debt.
- After buying the new necklace and paying off all the money used to buy it, Mathilde decided to tell her friend that the necklace was actually a replacement. Her friend is very surprised and admits that the original necklace was actually fak and very cheap.
