- 1756 - British declare war on the French.
- 1759 - General Wolfe won the Battle of Quebec, but he and the French commander were wounded.
- 1760 - French lost their foothold in Canada British concentrated on seizing French territory.
- 1763 - Treaty of Paris was signed and war was ended. British gained Canada and Florida.
- 1763- French keep sugar islands, Spain gains Louisiana. Mississippi valley opens and westward expantion begins
