  • Hey I have a question did you know what will happen if thetectonic plates continue to move?
  • Yeah!Would you like me to tell you what will happen?
  • Sure!
  • : Did you know that Plates move at about the same speed as you fingernails, so it's a lengthy process.
  • On a more immediate time scale, earthquakes indicate thatthe plates are still moving around, and we can expect more of them in thefuture. As subducting slabs migrate back into the mantle (convergent zones) ornew magma comes up in divergent zones to generate new oceanic crust, volcaniceruptions are also a sign that the rock cycle is still in work.
  • Wow it was slower than I think it move.
  • 23 67
  • And when two plates collide, they both move upwards, generating mountains. When one goes beneath the other, the high temperaturesmelt the other. The molten lava rises between the two plates and emerges on thesurface, forming a volcano that erupts.
  • It’s so fascinating to know! Wow nature is really incredible.
  • It sure was!
  • In the future we can see a lot more of beautiful mountains , landscapes andmany more.
  • Thank you for telling me that.
