- It so hard, he whips me for everything making me discouraged.
- Oh, come with me and you can meet my wife.
- Douglass works very hard by Covey, but is still often beat up and mistreated by him.
- Climax
- I cant take it anymore!
- HOW DARE YOU ESCAPE!
- Douglass was weak and dizzy while fanning, so he fainted making Mr. Covey come and harshly kick him multiple times.
- Resolution
- Wow, after all of this I'm feeling more strong and determined with future obstacles.
- Douglass tells his acquainted slave (Sandy Jenkins) about his difficulties, so they both escape Mr. Covey’s to go see Sandy’s wife.
- After Douglass returns, Covey tackles him in the stables and Douglass fights back.
- Douglass fought back at Covey regaining his determination toward him and his actions. He was never fully enslaved again.
